Baby Banana
Baby bananas, also known as bananitos, belong to the same family as the common banana but are much smaller, typically reaching only about 7 cm in length. Unlike their larger counterparts, baby bananas thrive in regions with a moderate climate, usually between 1,000 and 1,500 meters above sea level.
Renowned for their exceptional sweetness, bananitos have a richer flavor than regular bananas. As they ripen, their skin transitions from green to bright yellow, eventually deepening in color and becoming slightly soft to the touch—indicating they’re at peak ripeness and ready to enjoy.
