Mangosteen is a tropical fruit with a round shape and a thick, fibrous rind that ranges in color from reddish to deep purple. The outer skin has a smooth yet slightly porous texture and can be easily opened by gently pressing the fruit between your fingers. Inside, you’ll find soft, juicy white pulp divided into 5 to 8 segments.

To enjoy it, simply cut the fruit in half, peel off the rind, and remove the segments. Mangosteen can be eaten fresh or used to add a delicate, sweet flavor to sauces, desserts, and beverages.
