Even fruits with smooth, firm skin are suitable for consumption, though they tend to have a slightly more intense acidic taste. To enjoy maracuyá, simply cut the fruit in half and scoop out the pulp with a spoon. It is most commonly used in juices, sauces, desserts, and ice cream.
